About Fifth Ledger
Last updated: October 6, 2026
Fifth Ledger is accounting software built specifically for small businesses that want to safeguard their financial records and data.
What we do
Fifth Ledger gives small businesses real double-entry books: a chart of accounts, a balanced general ledger, invoicing, banking imports, reconciliations, and financial reports — all in one place. Every entry must balance before it posts, so your trial balance is always true.
How we work
We do not offer bank connections. Statements are imported by you or your accountant, so your banking credentials are never stored with us. We are not AI-driven — your books are managed and reviewed by people.
We are CPA and audit provisioned: on our Light Pro plan, an assigned accountant manages your account with a weekly check-in for transaction imports, and a CPA reviews your books every month for accuracy and compliance — state, local, and federal. Compliance and audit support is available at $35/hour.
Who we serve
Small businesses only. Whether you run one company or several, each entity gets its own set of books under a single login, and your records are isolated at the database level — no one else can read them.
